Pet care experience
I have lived with animals all of my life. I grew up on a farm. Although we did not have horses and cows, there were always cats and dogs! My job was to feed and care for the animals daily. I’ve done this since I was about 9 years old. I have a lot of experience and the best of memories caring for animals. From lots of furry friends to amphibians, I have a heart and a passion for taking care of animals, big and small. I have one fur baby, one leopard gecko, and one goldfish. My own dog is definitely a part of our family. We spoil her rotten and enjoy every minute of it:) I would be overjoyed to care for your pet, too!

Amanda is amazing! She watched our Mila for 5 days- first time we’ve ever left her for more than a couple of hours since adopting her last fall. Amanda is welcoming and warm, but also very clearly knows her way around dog behaviors- we trusted her with our pup immediately during the meet and greet. Being our first time without her, we really appreciated the many photos Amanda sent showing us how much fun she was having with Rylee, and the rest of Amanda’s family. We are confident Mila received plenty of love and attention and was in the best of hands in a home-away-from-home. Mila loves Amanda and so do we!
Amanda took excellent care of my 9 month old puppy for two nights! She walked her, made sure she ate, took her out every 2-3 hours, cuddled with her, and sent me so many photos! She’s very fun and warm to communicate with, and her love for dogs shows! I will definitely be sending my puppy there again. Thanks Amanda!! :)
Amanda and her family were super friendly and took great care of Toby. Would definitely recommend and plan to call in her whenever we are visiting Purdue!
This was our first time to use Rover. We were very happy with the care that Amanda provided. Loved receiving regular pictures of Max interacting with her family & other pets. The meet & greet was very beneficial. Would take Max to Amanda’s again!

I have a six foot privacy fenced in back yard, with lots of room to run and play! Inside, I have a large kitchen area connected to my living area, separated by a six foot wide, secure and latchable fate. I use this large gate to separate larger dogs from smaller dogs, or sometimes similar size dogs when they just need a break from one another. I believe in positive reinforcement and earning your dog’s trust. Treats are given out if allowed by owners:) I keep my eye on all dogs at all times and never leave any of the dogs I care for unsupervised. Dogs are allowed on furniture and up on beds:)

A typical day
I love to stimulate your dog both physically and mentally. We will play a lot of games in my fenced in back yard, work on puzzles, and take walks around the neighborhood, enjoying the sights and sounds.

I currently work part time, so I have plenty of time to play with your pups! They will receive lots of personal love, pets, and attention from my entire family! I am a stay at home mom of four kids, one headed off to college, so I have lots of helpers with me at home when they are not in school:)
