A bit about myself, I have taken care of and owned cats in particular my whole life, and have had several cat sitting jobs when I was in middle and high school. I've gained an enormous amount of experience however, working at the Richmond SPCA and from my work with other professional dog walking companies. Cats: Kitties have more needs than a lot of people realize! When dropping by to care for your cat I will tailor my time for whatever activity level and need your kitty may have. This includes plenty of play time, grooming, or if you have a timid kitty, some reading time. Some times cats take a while to warm up and gain trust, and I hope to earn that with your cat. My experience level with cats is more like 20+ years, but really I learned so much about cats from my time in the shelter where I've learned much more about cat behaviors and body language. Dogs: From my experience as a professional dog walker, an employee at a shelter and pet sitting, I've gained a lot of knowledge on various dog personalities, quirks and needs. Being familiar with canine behavior and body language, I know how to work safely with fearful/stranger danger and reactive dogs, to food guarders of all levels. I do request if you have a strong puller to have proper walking equipment, such a harness or gentle leader for safety! Small Animals: I do have experience with fish, some small reptiles, hedgehogs and rabbits. I love all animals and am excited to learn about yours! I do have experience administering medication including insulin shots.
