Pet care experience
I grew up on a farm and love all animals. We had dogs, cats, chickens, a goat and a donkey. I grew up volunteering at the local humane shelter and also fostered many sick dogs and cats (10 years). I worked at the SF SPCA for two years as an adoptions counselor where I helped to create thousands of happy families!

We are so lucky to have Amanda as our regular sitter. She’s been so great with our two cats who are quite needy and sad when we leave them. On our recent vacation our cat’s illness was flaring up, and Amanda was so great with applying medication, working around a changing medication cycle, and monitoring and reporting to us about her health. She also helped devise strategies to get our cat to take medications easily, which we now use ourselves. The situation was really stressful but knowing Amanda was there made us feel so reassured. I understand that dogs and cats can behave differently while their owners are away so I will be super careful, including: feeding your pets separately to prevent resource issues, supervising your dog while in the backyard, making sure the outside doors are closed behind me at all times, to name a few. I always check things like automatic feeders, just in case.

I'd like to know if they're leash reactive, neutered/spayed, resource protective, have health issues, and if they have any aggression to people or dogs. I'd like to know if they have a history of trying to escape.

We're fortunate to have so many neighborhoods and beautiful places where we can go on dog walks. I try to change up the routes so your pup can always explore a new place or path.
