I have worked with many animals - from family pets to homeless, special needs shelter animals. I have 5 years experience in animal shelters between the PSPCA and AWA. I understand each dog and cat is unique, all with their own quirks, sensitivities, and needs. But all pets need mental stimulation, play time, and affection, and I'm happy to provide that in addition to basic feedings or walks. I have a border collie, boxer, and two cats at home (and usually some fosters). I live with my husband so he watches our pets if I need to dog or cat sit elsewhere for the night (he also helps with many of our clients). Willing to negotiate rates for longer stays or repeat clients.

Amanda was awesome! She was great at communicating - from setting up a meet & greet, all the way through our vacation. She took great care of our kitties and was even able to give our very uncooperative, older tortie her meds. We came home to happy cats. I would definitely recommend her.

If I could leave 10 stars I would!! Not only was Amanda super accommodating, she sent tons of updates, and truly seemed to enjoy loving on our pups as much as we do! I know our dogs loved her too because they cried when she left! We cannot wait to book her again!

A typical day
I’m happy to play with your pets. Both my cats AND dogs love to chase the laser pointer. I know I would need to tell a sitter that, otherwise they would have no idea my dogs like chasing the laser too. So please tell me your pet’s favorite activities and provide me with some guidance on where they like to play, how they like to play, when they will be expecting a treat, and leave me a list of commands or training you’re working on so I can help continue their training!

Availability
I’m a full time veterinary assistant so drop-ins would generally be after 5pm. I do partner with my husband occasionally who is also on rover so if you’re willing to meet us both, we can give you more availability!
