I'm Amanda! I dedicated my life to animals in 2009 when I became a Veterinary Technician. I have worked at veterinary clinics in Durham Region as well as Veterinary Emergency Clinic in Toronto in the Surgery and ER departments. I am thoroughly trained and experienced in first aid, CPR, administering oral and injectable medications, as well as many other medical procedures. I have relationships with most veterinary clinics from Toronto to Gananoque, including all local clinics and the Kawartha Veterinary Emergency Clinic. We have a 6 year old German Shepherd named Ava. She loves people. She has a very loud bark and gets nervous when first meeting strangers. She always warms up after about 15 minutes. Unfortunately Ava is highly dog aggressive. * I also offer nail trims, ear cleanings, anal gland expression (any minor tech procedure) for $10.00 each - just let me know when booking boarding/walking with me.

Amanda was really great. Our puppy Ivy stayed overnight while we were visiting with family in the local area. Amanda was quick to respond and very communicative and flexible when our plans changed suddenly due to bad weather. Ivy and Amanda’s dog Ava got along great after an initial introduction. I am so happy and grateful that I have found Amanda to look after my senior dachshund Louie. Amanda is kind, caring and comforting, and clearly has a love of animals that makes her a special person. She shared with me how Louie was doing during his weekend stay with her, which reassured me and allowed me to enjoy my time away.
