Offering Lots of Experience & Love!
Pet care experience
I have had pets throughout my life and I don’t think life is as fulfilling or enjoyable without them. I’ve had dogs, cats, horses, reptiles, bunnies, and other livestock over the years. I love dogs and cats of all ages, sizes, and breeds. I enjoy house and pet sitting and I have many years of experience. I became Red Cross Pet CPR and First Aid Certified at 19 years old while working for a pet sitting business in Bellingham. I ran my own pet daycare and grooming business in my 20’s, and now, I'm in my 30's and I petsit on the side. Animals bring joy to my life and getting paid to play with them is an ideal job, in my opinion. I have experience with medication administration, from pills to sprays and even injections. Our dog (whom we sadly lost in February 2020) was a senior dog, so I understand and respect the need for patience and a slower-paced gentleness with elderly dogs. We adopted another senior dog, Winnie, in 2022 and are enjoying making her last years her best.

At our home, we have a fenced yard. Your pets are allowed to roam freely in our living room, get on the furniture (if they're allowed to at your home) and are only crated when we leave the house, if need be and they are crate trained. Think of my home as your pet's home away from home. I only board one to three clients' pets at a time. If I care for your pet(s) in your home, I try to keep their routines as close to normal as possible so that they're happy and comfortable. I look forward to speaking with you about your pet(s) to see if we may be a good match for pet care in the future! Talk to you soon!

Information Amanda H. would like to know about your pet
I will have a detailed list of questions to go over with you at our meet and greet. If you would like, I can email the list to you to fill out beforehand, just let me know.
A typical day
We enjoy hiking and boating, your dog is more than welcome to come if you’re okay with it and you think they will be comfortable! I've got a Chuck-It for playing fetch and floating toys if your dog follows commands off leash and likes to swim.

Availability
I work full-time in Wenatchee, but my partner of over ten years, Patrick, comes home at lunchtime. The dogs that we care for are typically let out every 30 minutes to four hours, depending on the day. We also love to take dogs that we care for hiking, boating, or on walks in the park or around our neighborhood. Occasionally, we may need to leave the house for around six hours, but this does not happen very often.
