I love animals, and have all my life. I grew up with dogs, and really miss having them in my life; I can't help but want to meet any I come across while out in town or on hikes. In my adult life, I have only lived with cats (by default - my roommates and now my husband all came with cats), and became more of a "cat person" than I ever expected I could! I have lived in clients' homes for extended periods, caring for their cats, often times needing special feeding schedules or regular medication. One client wrote me into her will in case something happened on one of their trips, so I would live in their home to be the sole care-provider for their cat! I have no qualms about cleaning up after animals, whether accidents or not, and I'm a mean carpet-cleaner, if need be. I love being outdoors and going on walks and hikes, and really miss taking dogs for walks; I love their boundless energy and endless curiosity. I had a very protective, but loving, dog as a teen, and am aware of the challenges of getting to know a strange dog. I would be cautious yet confident when approached by other dogs, when around traffic, or navigating tricky terrain. As I am a teacher during the school year, my schedule will completely open up over the summer. I'd love to come help you out and give your pet some love!
