Pet care experience
I have been caring for animals of all kinds, from dogs to hedgehogs for most of my life. I was lucky enough to be the neighborhood go-to pet sitter and got to spend time with my favorite people (dogs). I have a senior long haired miniature dachshund of my own who is very delicate, anxious, and sees a doggy ophthalmologist so I'm very familiar and accustom to anxious animals, administering all kinds of medication, senior pet needs, puppy care, etc. Unfortunately, my fur baby doesn't live with me (she lives at home with my family) so I am sourly missing all the animal loves and have plenty of love and attention to give!

Amanda has been fantastic walking my dog Ellie. Ellie takes a while to warm up to new people and Amanda was good at respecting Ellie's boundaries while Ellie got comfortable. Amanda is also reliable and great at communicating with me when I have questions.

Amanda is my younger sister. In our neighborhood growing up, there were many households with pets (dogs, cats, fish, hedgehogs, etc.), and Amanda was always the person they would turn to to take care of the animals. She had been doing this for years for plenty of families in the neighborhood. She also was an attentive carer for our family dog growing up. Amanda is particularly dedicated and loving to dogs, but also to all types of pets. I would say she is very skilled in pet care for a variety of animals and would be an excellent addition to the Rover team.
Amanda has been taking care of my cats for years. Even when she was a little girl, she would come by herself to feed, play with, and clean up after my cats several times a day when I was away. I would trust her with any animal! She is very loving with them and spends time to take good care of them. I still have her come when I go away. Amanda is extremely responsible and loves animals. Your pets will be in good hands with her!

Please let me know what your dogs temperament is like so I know how to approach them. I experienced with shy and timid as well as energetic and friendly dogs and everything in between. Knowing some basics about their personalities will be extremely helpful to avoid overwhelming them or scaring them in any way. Additionally, does your dog like to be around other dogs? If they love being around other dogs, that's great! If they are more on the shy/scared side please let me know so we can avoid any anxiety inducing environments.
A typical day
The fun will be dependent on your dogs' energy levels. For more senior dogs we'll enjoy a more gentle, leisurely stroll with plenty of times for sniffs along the way. For younger and/or more energetic dogs we'll take a fun brisk walk. I'll let my furry friend set the pace and lead wherever the nose desires!
