Pet care experience
As a teacher in need of extra cash, this side job has been so perfect! I have had pets my whole life, so I couldn’t think of anything better. I started Rover a couple of years ago down in Charleston and did really well, so now that I’ve settled back in VA, I thought I’d give it a try here too!

Amanda is amazing! She has checked in on our cat multiple times and always sends lots of updates & pictures. Daisy loved the company & play time!
Amanda was amazing with Tilly! She was able to take her on evening walks and spend some time playing with her after the walk while I was at work. Tilly does not enjoy being alone so that time spent playing with her was very appreciated!
Amanda did an amazing job! I couldn’t ask for a better sitter. She followed all instructions and sent me several pictures as well as daily detailed updates. It’s hard leaving our fur babies behind but it helps knowing they have someone like Amanda looking after them! 5/5 stars!
Amanda was amazing, putting my wife's and I minds at ease, despite the last minute booking. Otis, our cat, was so happy to have company while we were gone and definitely made a new friend! Thank you Amanda for taking care of our furry boy!

It is important for me to know your pet’s needs and personality. Likes: level of interaction, length of walks, treats, food, toys, etc. Dislikes: especially triggers and things to stay away from Medical needs: I am very comfortable with giving medications due to years of personal experience.
A typical day
I love taking dogs on long walks, playing, giving pets, and going on adventures. With cats, I like to follow their lead! Whatever you need to me to do!

I’m available to do drop ins or walks Monday - Thursday after 6, Fridays after 3:30, and any time Saturday - Sunday. I’m incredibly flexible and punctual.
