Licensed veterinary technician

Pet care experience

I've been a licensed veterinary technician for 7yrs now, and recently graduated from Wayne State with a Bachelor's degree in Biology. I have 2 dogs of my own, as well as a foster dog who is receiving hospice care. I have of dog sitting experience on a regular basis with 2 Pomeranians, both of which have special needs and require daily medications. I also have dog sitting experience with a Belgian Malinois and an American Bulldog. Big and small, I love them all! I enjoy staying active with my pets year-round. I especially love running with my dog. Dogs like to get out of the house, too! Sunny weather, rain, or snow, let's go! As a veterinary technician, I have a lot of experience with all kinds of animals, and I would be able to give your pet the best care possible! And as a dog-owner who has been the victim of poor dog sitting services in the past, I promise to treat your pet with all the love and care that you would provide!

Amanda is an excellent dog sitter who I've been able to depend on for the last 6 years. The fact that she's a licensed veterinary technician gives me complete confidence that proper care would be given if the need should ever arise and I never worry about my dog getting his pills! I would certainly recommend her as a pet sitter for any type of animal.

Information Amanda F. would like to know about your pet

Of course it's important to learn about a pet to understand their special quirks or special needs, and I'm very adaptable to their needs. I do not have any breed preferences.

A typical day

I am a long-distance runner, so if you have a high-strung/high-energy dog like I do, then let me take them for a run and work off some of that energy! Depending on the distance and location, I enjoy walking/running on nature trails, so that could be arranged.
