Hi there, I’m Amanda! I am a very intuitive, caring, and dependable animal caretaker. My professional experience includes four years working with dogs and cats at a boarding and grooming facility. My role involved organizing play groups and administering medications, feeding, bathing, and caring for dogs and cats of all breeds and personality types. In addition, I have been a trusted pet caretaker for traveling friends and acquaintances for many years.I also grew up with my best dog-friend, Amber, who I trained from puppy-hood through her rebellious teen years (no joke!). We spent countless hours together on walks in the woods, and she remained, for her whole life, my kindest friend. One of my greatest assets as an animal caretaker is my intuition and patience. I am especially good with nervous animals. My calm demeanor and willingness to patiently allow the animal to adjust to a new person or circumstance has always helped to gain the trust of pets, even those who are very fearful. I was often the only one at the boarding facility that could administer medications to nervous dogs because I had spent the time to gain their trust.
