Pet care experience
I got my first dog when I was 10 and he was 9 months old. He recently passed away at age 14, and I hook care of him his whole life. Friends and family members have relied on me to watch over their pets when needed, and I enjoy being around animals whether they are mine or not. I have experience training family members dogs and taking care of my dog as he’s become a senior

Amanda is an amazing dog sitter! She has had dogs her whole life and her experience is evident. My pitbull is very nervous around new people and Amanda made sure that my dog was comfortable and taken care of while we were away. I’d 100% have her watch my dog again!

I always make sure that the animals are comfortable with me before I take them outside or into a new environment, and I try to make sure that I use cues or rewards that their parents may use with them. I always make sure to close/open doors carefully to prevent pets from escaping.

A typical day
I love to start by taking dogs for a walk. I like orchard park and any small neighborhood parks around. I was a softball player and I love to throw balls for dogs who love to play fetch if you have a yard where that’s possible. I love getting my dog a pup cup or a cup of whip cream as a reward after a good walk or at the end of the day. My favorite part is just being around dogs and doing what they like best.

Availability
I am a full time graduate student and I find that taking care of pets adds extra joy into my life. I am on summer vacation so I have time to take care of pets all day!
