warm, reliable & compassionate care
Pet care experience
I am a plant based lover of all living things! I’ve owned pets my entire life and currently own a small, elderly dog and a young, beefy pup. I’m comfortable with dogs of all sizes and dispositions. My eldest dog has a range of dietary, exercise and health needs, making me quite well versed with many special needs your pet may have. I also have experience taking care of special needs pets, those with allergies and disabilities, even reactivity. I will treat your fuzzy friends with exceptional attention, gentle compassion and understanding. I’ve been a caretaker of many different breeds of dogs, cats of all ages, and even a few exotic animals! I am most often called upon by friends and family to take care of their pets, as I am good natured, patient, and reliable. Please feel free to contact me with any questions. I am a queer individual and believe that all lives, including those of our beloved pets, should be treated with integrity and kindness.
Reviews
Amanda is so wonderful with our puppy Finn! They are so kind and patient with him, while still holding his behavior to good training standards. You can tell how much they love dogs the moment you meet them and they make you feel completely at ease knowing you’re leaving your pup in loving, very capable hands. I absolutely recommend Amanda without reservation!

I have two very friendly dogs who are best friends, they have ample space in my two bedroom apartment that I share with my partner. I study entirely online and am the primary caretaker of our animals. My older dog was formerly very reactive, but through professional training and personal upkeep, he has made immense strides, and there’s nothing I love more than polishing up his training and keeping him engaged. They are my first priority, and ensuring their comfort, confidence and security is a stance that I will carry into my care of your pets.
Information Amanda D. would like to know about your pet
It’s important for me to know your dogs temperament around other dogs, whether or not they are prey driven or reactive, and if they have any injuries (previous or still present). It’s also important to know if your fuzzy friend has allergies or medications, food sensitivity so I can make sure the treats don’t upset their stomach, and what their feeding and potty schedule looks like so I can ensure all their needs are met! I want to essentially know what 24 hours with your pet would look like, so I can be prepared for anything that may come my way, and that your fur baby is as comfortable and secure as possible.
A typical day
I live close to Battersby Field and it’s my favorite to take my dogs to! A day with me is spent with a nice romp at a closed in area, followed by a car ride to Squalicum Beach to get some good sniffs and water time in. Depending on how much energy we have left, we can go on another walk through my neighborhood in the lettered streets, or hang out at my house on the patio, watching the cats and squirrels! We also have a big selection of fluffy chews, rubber toys, and lots of treats.

I am currently a student, full time and entirely online. I have reliable transportation and knowledge of all the best spots for a good four legged romping!
