Pet care experience
I am currently the mom to a 5 year old rescue pup named Keelo! He is everything to me, and I can’t wait to get him more furry siblings in the future. I grew up with a family rescue dog named Maddie (GSD/lab mix) and cared for her until she passed away. I have been a dog sitter for family and friends for over 6 years prior to getting my own dog - most notably, I used to house sit and dog sit for some good friends of mine. They have a golden retriever, and I would stay with him for up to a couple weeks at a time! His brother lived across the street, so I would also watch him on occasion when his mom needed help. I am a very detail-oriented person who will love and care for your pup(s) as if they were my own! Their happiness, safety, and well-being are the most important things to me.

Amanda and Lucas put our minds at ease with their easy-going, calm and welcoming personalities. Kona settled in easily with Keelo showing her the way. We’re feel good about leaving Kona in such capable and caring hands!
We’ve been looking for a new sitter since moving to the area and Amanda and her husband, Lucas, have been great! Lucy loves hanging out with Kilo! We get daily updates and Amanda is very accommodating in case there are unforeseen circumstances. We’re looking forward to bringing Lucy back and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Amanda!

We have a friendly pup of our own and a fully fenced big backyard that we are working on so we spend lots of time outside (weather permitting). While Keelo does not sleep in a crate, I’m more than happy to oblige if your pup prefers to sleep in a crate. I am also experienced in giving meds and grooming since we take care of all of that ourselves for our dog.

I definitely want to schedule a meet and greet to let our pup, Keelo, meet your pup. That way, we can also chat about any feeding/medication needs or other special needs / care instructions that your dog might have!
A typical day
On a typical day, we like to pull out all the squeaky toys out of the toy bin before take a nap, we also take a couple walks around the neighborhood, and topping it off with some zoomies in the backyard (there are plenty of sticks to hunt for and play with!).

Availability
I am going to school and studying to make a career change while working a part time job that is fully remote. Fortunately, I am in charge of my schedule with school and my part time job; so I have the flexibility to adjust my schedule as needed based on when your pup might be staying with me so that we will have plenty of time to play, go on walks, and nap. We work on our backyard during the weekend so the pups get lots of time for zoomies. On the weekends we can take walks to the parks surrounding our house or go on hikes depending on how active your pup is!
