What makes Amanda special....everything! Met Amanda several years ago when she was my vet's tech. She was there during his last couple years and got to know both me and my beloved cat and when I laid my 18 year old cat to rest she cried as hard as I did. While we were finishing up and making small talk, we realized we both volunteered for the same cat rescue. Over these several years I've added 3 more kitties and my dog is 13 but Amanda is still a constant in my life. Who do I call to pet and house sit when unexpectedly going out of town Christmas weekend? Amanda Who do I frantically text on Saturday of Memorial Day weekend when my kitten scratches his eye, the emergency vet has no appointments and not sure if I should drive kitten to Wilmington ? Amanda Who is the only person able to cut the black toenails on my 13 year old "too arthritic to get in the car but too fast for me to catch" dog? Amanda Who is the person I trust so much that I gave her access to all of my business accounts to help me set up a website? Yup, Amanda! And even though that's not a pet issue, its a trust issue and there are very few people on this earth I trust more than Amanda. She's proven herself over and over to be trustworthy, loyal and very good at everything she does. When I went away Christmas weekend Amanda was tasked with the old/arthritic/separation-anxious dog, an overweight cat who bites me and 2 young kitties who typically think everyone is "stranger-danger" and bolt under the bed when they hear a car in the driveway. She had to feed the dog without the fat cat eating it, attempt to limit everything else the fat cat ate while still trying to make sure the 2 young kitties did eat. Of course the cat who bites me snuggled and played with her and everything else went perfectly. Came home to a bunch of happy healthy pets and every single thing I left on the pages and pages of notes was followed to a "T" Why? Amanda! That's who she is and that's what she does, loves on my pets (and if you're lucky, your pets) like they're her own. She is kind and loving and hysterically funny but above all that, she loves animals, all animals. She knows so many things about so many different animals it never ceases to amaze me. If you need someone to care about your pets and treat them I her own I can confidently and wholeheartedly recommend someone... Yup, Amanda!
