Experienced & passionate dog walker

Pet care experience

Hello! My name is Amanda and I am a dog walker/sitter with 3 years of formal experience and a lifetime of love for and experience with dogs and other pets. I have been walking dogs for 3 years for a local dog walking company in Medford which has granted me a great deal of experience with pets. I have walked dogs from 3 pounds to 180 pounds and have a great deal of experience with pet sitting (both dogs and cats). I absolutely love working with pets! I understand that your pet is your family, and that is the way I treat all of my clients. I also have experience with basic obedience training as well as leash training.

Amanda was a great caretaker for my pup. Her apartment was comfortable & quiet, and she is right next to large park and trail for walks. Her dog was friendly and seemed to like mine. I received updates and knew my dog was in good hands! Amanda was also flexible and accommodating for some of my schedule changes.

Amanda is very dependable, friendly, and professional. You can tell she loves dogs and really cares. She has been so easy to work with and sends me a text after each walk. I can tell she takes my dog on a good long walk and he loves her. I would recommend her to anyone!

I've known Amanda for over 10 years. She is responsible, trustworthy, honest, and patient. She loves animals, especially dogs, and is super attentive to their needs. She will show up on time, and take great care of your pets. I wouldn't leave my two dogs with anyone else. You will be very happy you selected Amanda to care for your pets.

My home is completely pet proof and I am happy to work with my clients to care for their pets the best way they see fit. I do have a small crate from when my dog was a puppy and plenty of leashes and treats. I have experience with dogs who are crate trained and those who are not. I think it's important to treat every client like they are my own dog and to keep their best interests in mind. There is a large dog park behind my house that I bring my own dog (a friendly and playful Pomeranian named Porkchop) to and would be happy to play with clients' dogs there or on a hiking path or trail. I am able to house pets in my own home as well as board at a client's house as well.

Information Amanda B. would like to know about your pet

Please let me know how I can best accommodate your dog! I have worked with dogs of all shapes, sizes, energy levels, and breeds, so I have seen it all. I would love to get to know a bit more about your pup's personality, energy levels, likes and dislikes. This way, I can pair them up with dogs that have similar personalities so they can get the most out of their walks. It also helps for boarding/pet sitting so your pet can feel comfortable and at home while in my care.

A typical day

My favorite place to walk is by the beach! There are so many exciting sights and smells around the beach in Boston that can provide your pup with the stimulation and fulfillment they need. I love to walk around Castle Island, Pleasure Bay, M Street Beach, and around the charming neighborhoods of South Boston. I take pups on pack walks to ensure they get in the socialization they need while also . They absolutely love to see their friends and walk with them! I believe this adds to their walking experience. I keep my pack walks at a maximum of 3 dogs to ensure quality and safety for each dog in my care. I also offer play groups at local dog parks (maximum of 4 dogs per play group) so they can get in playtime with their pals as well. All of my services are tailored to the needs of you and your pup!

Other than my current walking schedule, I am completely free and flexible to add new clients! I am very active and love to walk (I train for the Boston Marathon Jimmy Fund Walk every year), so walking dogs doesn't feel like a job to me at all. I'm looking to add new clients to my walking schedule! I do have a policy of walking no more than 3 dogs at one time to ensure quality and safety.
