I've grown up around dogs my whole life. My family dogs have included an Australian Shepard, German Shepard, Bernese Mountain Dog, Chesapeake Bay Retriever, Yorkshire Terrier, and Bischon/Yorkie mix. The Yorkie and Bischon/Yorkie had 3 litters, so I've experienced caring for newborn puppies. Being within 5 feet of a dog automatically makes my day better. I am currently a full time doctoral student, so most of my free time is Friday-Monday. I have a part time job but will work around it. To be honest this will mostly for me to get puppy love in my life to help with the stress of grad school, while also helping these dogs get the activity and loving they need.
