Pet care experience
First and foremost, Thank you for your interest into my profile! It is truly an honor to have the opportunity to help partake in care and activities with your special pets of all species and sizes! My goal is to make a lasting career professionally as a Veterinarian Technician in the near future, and in the mean time provide any service's I can to pets and owners in need. 5 years ago I spent some time in Missouri where I helped provide care for kennel dogs for around 6 months, including providing baths, medicine, walks, food, water, playtime, attention and love to all of the dogs. Since then I have returned to Syracuse and have helped care for my 3 year old Jack Russell terroir (Luna) and my 1 year old kitten (Buggsy). Buggsy became apart of my family last summer when a friend discovered 7 kittens in her backyard who needed loving homes. Thankfully, that goal was achieved as all kittens were placed in homes and spayed and neutered (including the neighborhood feral mother and father cats to help stop any kittens being left on the street in the future!) And as time has gone on, my love, patience, and determination to work with animals has only grown. Thank you again for your time! I am available on most days of the week including Monday to Friday. But I am willing to work weekends if needed. And I prefer hours anywhere from 10am to 7pm but I am willing to work around that with potential clients! I would like to make sure I can ask for any possible extra information needed to help ensure the best treatment for your animals. Along with that I always check fences/gates before bringing an animal outside in case of other animals or people. I also like to scan the surrounding and verify there’s is no unsafe food or material that the animal could possibly ingest in and out of the home. It’s also important that I check and refill any water or food as necessary and clean up any accidents or trips to the bathroom in or out of the home. Lastly also make sure to lock doors and secure all gates when exiting the home or building of a client.

Alyssa is fantastic! She took GREAT care of our elderly dog who needed extra care. She house and dog sat, and we felt so happy and relieved that Alyssa was there taking such great care of her! Would 100% recommend Alyssa to ANYONE!
Alyssa has always been the first person I call if I need someone to watch my pups! She tends to be the most gentle, caring, and fun fur friend for any dog! I trust her to keep my babies super safe, keep up with our schedule (and even all the specifics that I have!), and trust they’ll have the best playtime! Anytime my 6 month old and 2 year old pups see her they go crazy! No matter how big/small, old/young, shy or energetic your animal is, Alyssa always knows how to make that dog feel like the most special thing in the world. If you’re looking for someone to love your animals as much as you do, Alyssa’s the one!
I have known Alyssa for many years now and even she has provided optimal care for my animals. I have 2 German shepherds that she has helped watch for me several times. And she does an excellent job at being respectful and keeping me and my animals happy.

It is very important for me to ask any possible questions on extra information needed to help ensure the best treatment not only for your animals but the safety and care of your home as well. Routinely for each visit I ensure fences/gates and doors to property are properly locked and closed after entering the home and after exiting. Especially before bringing an animal outside in case of other animals or people. I also like to scan the surrounding and verify there is no unsafe food or material that the animal could possibly ingest in and out of the home. As well as locating, cleaning, and properly disposing of any trips outside to the bathroom. It’s also important that I check and refill any water or food to the correct measurement/request of owner as necessary. and clean up any accidents or trips to the bathroom in or out of the home. And ensuring your pet gets as much playtime, pets, and or cuddles as they desire. I know each animal can have very different personalities so I am here to help provide them as much comfort as possible. Whether that be relaxing with some belly rubs or running around and playing catch, I am ready to work with both ends of the spectrum!

Please let me know if there is any certain special needs, dietary restrictions, medications, or behaviors that your pet has that can help me give them the best care possible based on their needs. Also if they have a certain routine/schedule that they need to stick to, I'll be sure to receive the details ahead of time and have them written down to reference. A typical day
If they have a favorite toy or a favorite way to play i'm all ears! I personally love to lay out some of their toys and let them choose their favorite and play some good old catch or tug of war to help build their trust. A classic for me as well is going for a walk through neighborhood streets to allow a change of scenery and for your adorable pet to release any pent up energy. And of course with any activity, providing constant supervision and making sure to have water and a bowl if possible on me at all time to ensure the health and safety of your pet.
