Hi, it’s so nice to meet you! I am a true animal lover, and I’m excited to get to know you and your dogs! I have been taking care of dogs of all kinds since I was a kid. In particular, I have experience with senior dogs, dogs with mobility issues, deaf and blind dogs, and dogs with reactivity. I am familiar with the basics of various dog training techniques, so I am able to keep up with any training you are doing at home. I work from home full time, and have no other pets in the home. I do have stairs, but they are gated off and I am able to carry smaller dogs with mobility issues up and down the stairs to go out to the bathroom and on walks. I would love to meet you and your dog(s) and provide a loving place for them while you’re away!

Alyssa will now be my go to sitter for my senior pup, Ivan! She’s communicative, caring, and I can tell Ivan had a lot of fun with her. IMO, it’s hard to find a sitter like Alyssa!
Alyssa did a great job watching our border collie- she was available for a last minute visit and really did quite a lot in a short time with our dog- took her for walks and played with her- sent tons of photos and updates as well- will definitely use her again in the future
Alyssa was AMAZING!! She is so sweet, communicative and attentive. She asked great, thoughtful questions before I even dropped Jude off to make sure he’d be comfortable. During the stay she took such great care of him and sent so many sweet updates throughout.
I have volunteered and have had many dogs, so I am picky about who can care for my pup and Alyssa is the best! She really cares about dogs and is thoughtful and empathetic. Alyssa truly is the only person I trust to care for my pup who can be a little difficult to care for as he is scared of most things but she is always patient and understanding. Could not recommend Alyssa more highly!

I am in an apartment with no yard or patio, but can take your dog out for walks as needed! I have a dog stroller if your pup has mobility issues. I do have 3 flights of stairs, but the top is gated and I am able to carry smaller dogs up and down the stairs for their bathroom breaks and walks. I can leave them in a crate or let them have free range in the apartment, whichever you prefer. If they are not potty trained, I would prefer to be able to crate them. I can provide regular feedings, administer medication, and give them regular bathroom breaks and walks. And of course playtime!

A typical day
Your dog and I will explore the new smells in my neighborhood, visit the Marina if they’re up for it and want a big patch of grass, play their favorite games, show off all their tricks, and get told they’re a very good dog!

Availability
I work from home full-time, so I can be available during the day for more frequent bathroom breaks and walks! While your dog is in my care, I can arrange to have either myself or my boyfriend with them 24/7, but ideally I could leave them for a few hours to run errands and such.
