Hey! My name is Alyssa, I’m a college student living here in Germantown. I’m currently in school with the goal of becoming a veterinarian and have been working in the veterinary field for over 7 years now. I’ve worked with a variety of animals from wildlife and exotics to your every day dogs and cats. No matter what kind of animal you have, I can guarantee they will be in good hands while under my care. I’m a certified veterinary assistant and am trained in basic first aid and CPR of dogs and cats. If your animals have any medical conditions that require special care, I’m more than happy to take care of that for you as well. Alyssa did a fantastic job! We took a day trip and needed someone to take care of our golden retriever and chihuahua while we were away. Our dogs took to Alyssa right away. She sent pics from her visits and kept us up to date on how they were doing. We will definitely use her services again in the future.

Information Alyssa T. would like to know about your pet
I don’t have any breed preferences, all dogs are great. Here are some examples of information that would be good for me to know about your pup beforehand; - Any medical concerns that I should be aware of? - Can they handle a lot of exercise? - Are they aggressive towards people, other dogs, or cats? How are they with kids?
A typical day
I adjust my plans for each individual pet depending on their personality and needs. Some animals want nothing more than to lounge around on the couch all day, and as long as you’re okay with that, than I’m happy to join them on the couch and give them some belly rubs. (I also learned how to give professional canine massages while working at a rehab center - most dogs seem to be huge fans) Other animals are endless bundles of energy who could play all day long and still not be tired. I’ll make sure to accommodate these personalities as well! I love to take dogs to nearby parks or trails, and for those who can handle it I take on my runs/hikes with me.
