Pet care experience
I have over 1,000 hours of experience as a veterinary assistant and kennel technician with dogs and cats from when I was an undergrad student. I’ve owned animals all my life and have been caring of other people’s animals since I was 10. I’m comfortable with dogs and cats of all ages, and can peacefully handle those with aggressive or fearful tendencies towards strangers. I have two cats of my own who are very sassy with a lot of personality, so I like to think of myself as a cat whisperer of sorts as well. My main services are walking and drop in visits, if you want your cat or another type of animal cared for I can do that too! (Please no feral or previously feral cats!)

Alyssa provided excellent care for Shep (my cat). She did a meet and greet prior to ensure Shep and I shared all the info that would be needed. Allysa was prompt and provided very thorough visit reports. The reports included the tasks she took care of while with Shep as well as providing updates on how Shep engaged with her during their play time. The updates and the pictures of Shep interacting with Alyssa were so important. I felt completely at ease knowing Shep was in great hands with someone who knows and understands cats.
Alyssa was so great! She left timely updates with lots of pictures and I was able to fully relax on my vacation knowing my cats were in good hands!
My cat seems to want to be adopted by Alyssa he likes her so much. Always such good updates and care

I have two cats at my home currently so I’m not taking pets to my own home, but I am very experienced in the process of getting a pet ready for a walking, crating the pet, and attending to any needs the pet may have. With my veterinary experience I’ve also been trained in administering medications and caring for ill cats and dogs.

A typical day
I love playing with dogs I watch. Usually I try to find a safe open space outside where we can play fetch or play with the dogs favorite outside toy. If they’re not fetch playing dogs I am more than happy to provide pets and snuggles all visit!
