Work From Home With Fenced Yard
Pet care experience
I work from home and have a fenced in yard… In our home, our dog is welcome on the furniture and sleeps in our bed. In our home, your dog will be treated just like family too! I know first hand how agonizing it is to leave your pet behind and will always share plenty of photos.
Reviews
Our family is so happy we found Alyssa! We had never left our 2 1/2 year old yellow lab with anyone other than family, so we were apprehensive of how he would do with someone he had never met. We met Alyssa and her dog Friar for a meet and greet, and we knew right away Alyssa would be perfect for Buzz! Alyssa is kind and loving towards dogs, and also very thorough and conscientious in her care. Every day Alyssa sent updates, a picture, and a video to let us know how he was doing. Our dog really took to her husband as well, and we were reassured Buzz was in great care! On a hot day, they put him in a kiddie pool to cool off, let him run and play with Friar in their fenced in yard, and even shared home made frozen dog treats for him! For anyone who, similar to us, might be apprehensive of using Rover.com, we can assure you Alyssa will take care as good of care for your dog, that she gives her own. We will definitely use her again in the future!
Just by the way my dog responds, and knows where she is when approaching Alyssa’s house, and exits the car with excitement, I know she’s in good hands. Alyssa spoils my dog with lots of t.l.c. Also, she loves running freely in the fenced in yard and gets her energy out for the day, before coming home with me. Give her a try, you won’t be disappointed!

Our yard is fenced. If we leave the house, it is for less than four hours at a time and only after sufficient morning exercise. We do crate our dog when we leave for safety but he does not stay in it when we are home or at night. We have plenty of space for a second crate downstairs and when our parent’s dog stays we place them in side by side crates with light music playing when we leave the house.

Information Alyssa P. would like to know about your pet
Please provide up to date vaccinations and confirm the last date/ brand of flea, tick and heart worm prior to boarding. For the safety of my dog, I do not board dogs who aren’t up to date on these items. Please let me know if your dog needs any special care or is especially nervous when you are away. Please also let me know how your dog likes to sleep, how much playtime it likes and if it has any sort of food or toy aggression with others. It’s also helpful to know it’s recall cues and favorite treats. Please share your vets contact info and an emergency contact before leaving for your trip.
A typical day
We will adapt our routine as we get to know and trust each other. My primary concern is your dogs safety- as they grow used to me and my home we will begin to explore (my dog especially loves Forge Pond and Stodders Neck) but we will not leave the fenced in yard until we are comfortable and will only ever leave for field trips if you are comfortable as well.

Availability
I work from home! My dog goes out to play- either in our yard or to nearby parks/walking trails every morning and we go out for 1-2 bathroom trips and play in the yard throughout the work day, depending on his mood. Before dinner, we do something else “fun” and spend the rest of the night on the couch.
