Pet care experience
I have experience taking care of animals since I was about 5 years old. My mother was a dog breeder and we had many pets, mostly dogs, who's care mostly fell on me. I have done pet sitting and house sitting for several animals of the same household at a time, managing their feeding and medications, as well as potty breaks and play time. I started volunteering at a Vet when I was 14 years old, stayed there a couple years and worked as a Veteranary Assistant at an urgent care when I got older. I have a lot of experience with dogs of all ages, including newborn puppies and seniors. I have taken dog training classes in the Cesar Milan style in the past, but with my own pets prefer only positive reinforcement. I am now taking courses at the Victoria Stillwell Acadamy to gain my dog training certification! I however respect and will follow any training techniques you have set for your own dogs when out on walks or during drop ins unless specifically asked otherwise. I love to cuddle and play with the pups, and look forward to meeting your fur babies!
Reviews
I cannot speak highly enough of Alyssa! We hired her to walk our pup Roshe once a week and she is fantastic! She is communicative, gives us great recaps on how her walk went and extremely trustworthy. We are so lucky to have found Alyssa and are so grateful to have her in Roshe's life.
Alyssa was wonderful. I had never worked with her before so always nervous about that, but she was great. Communicated well with me, understood my dogs needs, and was receptive to what I wanted for him. He loved her and she was so sweet to him.
Absolutely fantastic, kind, punctual, and most of all, incredibly knowledgeable. Will hire again and again. And again.
5plus stars. Top notch! Alyssa is Super Awesome and we 100% recommend her to anyone who needs pet care. She’s been walking our dog Vale now every week for months. Always reliable and always kind! Sadly we are moving out of town. But, if not for that we would definitely continue with her service. She the Best and our dog Vale loves her greatly! Thank you Alyssa - truly 🌈😍❤️

In my own home I use positive reinforcement for training our sweet girl. She is 11 years old and knows, sit, stay, down, heel, come, arf(speak), hush, dance, and we are working now on high five. She is on a feeding schedule twice a day with a veterinary approved diet, and gets treats, such as milkbones, here and there, and free access to water at all times. We have some training daily with treats and play as rewards, and cuddle and play regularly.
Information Alyssa P. would like to know about your pet
Please let me know if your dog has any special needs, I am happy to accomodate! Please also let me know before hand your preferences/ your dogs behavior on chewing sticks or other objects they may be excited by during the walk and if I need to specifically watch out for them going after so that I may give them the best care possible!
A typical day
When I'm watching a dog I always try to find some time for some play or stimulation of some kind a few times throughout the day. It may be play like fetch, tug, or chase, or it may be some time for lots of pets, or treat games where they can search for their treats in different ways, or occasionally a training session to continue their usual structure.

Availability
I am currently not accepting new clients as we just adopted a new puppy! She is full of energy and needs lots of care and attention while she adjusts, so while I would love to meet you and your furry family members, my focus needs to be on my own for the next month or two. I will update this as soon as this changes, and thanks for your interest!
