Pet care experience
I am an animal shelter volunteer and have worked as a pet caregiver for over a decade. I would love the opportunity to meet you and your pets in and around the Rio Rancho area! Before moving to New Mexico 4+ years ago, I ran a successful pet-sitting business through Dog Vacay/Rover in Chicago and Atlanta. I have a dog, cat, and child of my own and am experienced and comfortable with pets of all sizes, breeds, and personalities. At this time, I offer dog walks, pet sitting in your home, and house sitting. I am a self-employed freelancer with a flexible schedule to meet your pet's needs. Alyssa took on the challenge of looking after our recently adopted rescue pup Sasha for several days while we were out of town. She and her husband directed Sasha's high energy towards lots of fun activities such as hiking, running and going to the dog park. Alyssa kept up great communication with us during the vacay and we appreciated the daily updates and photos which let us see that Sasha was being well cared for.

I am a very active person who's a hiker, long-distance runner, biker, and climber. I love being outside with dogs and taking them on long walks and runs. I am also an affectionate and attentive person who enjoys snuggling with pets at home and playing games in the backyard.
