I need to know their daily routine. Being with a new person without your pet parent(s) can be stressful. Knowing what you do and sticking to that with your pet helps to alleviate some of their stress. I also need to know what quirks they may have. Do they really dislike the neighbor dog or get anxious around people with hats? Let me know their likes and dislikes. This helps me to avoid putting them in a stressful situation such as avoiding a certain house with a dog they do not like if we go on a neighborhood walk. I also want to know what they like! I want them to have as much fun as they can while you are away. Where do they love to go, do they have a favorite toy, etc. ? I can accommodate most any pet quirks and look forward to meeting your furry friend(s) soon!

I love hiking and being outdoors when possible I love to share this with the dogs I am looking after. Some of my favorite spots near Olympia for walking dogs are Tumwater Falls and Mima Falls. I always assess where to take a dog based on their energy levels. For higher energy dogs we may go on a longer hike and for dogs with a lower energy level we will go on a short walk. Other activities I will do based on the dog and location are play in the backyard, play fetch and hide and seek, go on car rides and read to them.
