Hello! My name is Alyssa and I am a recent college graduate who has relocated to New York in hopes of becoming an artist! I grew up on a ranch in Texas with two horses, four steer, my lovable labrador, a parakeet, and a cat. As you now know, I have grown up around animals my entire life and have learned an incredible amount of responsibility from taking care of so many animals. Although I have not worked with special needs dogs, my horse Blue (my best friend who I owned for 9 years and miss dearly!) was rescued from a life threatening and abusive situation. Every day with Blue was a day filled with love, patience, and forgiveness. I have a heart for rescued animals and feel comfortable working with dogs that need a little bit of extra love. I have volunteered in the past with the Animal Defense League of Texas as a dog walker and socializer. I have about one year of dog sitting experience with friend's dogs back home. My schedule will vary from week to week as I am a retail employee and work unusual hours. I am usually available at least 4 days a week from 10 AM-4 PM, including weekends.
