I’ve been taking care of dogs since I was about 10. I helped to care for neighbors, friends, and family members canine pals. I would walk them, let them outside, play, offer lots of pets and cuddles, and of course food and water. I have been a dog owner since I was 13 and have helped to train and care for our family fur baby.

Alyssa seemed very nice but failed to relay that her work schedule conflicted with my stay and showed up 6 hours later than my requested time. Her lack of communication left my dogs alone for almost 11hrs.
Did a great job!
Highly recommend Alyssa!! She’s experienced with reactive dogs and maintained a calm, confident presence with my anxious/socially precarious bulldog Lucy. Lucy warmed up to Alyssa almost immediately and was exposing herself for belly rubs by the end of Alyssa’s visit. Alyssa was also accommodating and very friendly. She communicated well, was punctual, and respectful of my home. I already have her booked for a couple house sitting visits.
Alyssa was great staying with my two kitties overnight at my house for a couple of nights while I was traveling. She did a drop in to meet them first which was so appreciated, always communicated really well (and got back to me really fast), sent pictures (which I LOVE!), and clearly took care of them and left my house exactly as she found it! I would definitely recommend Alyssa!

Please let me know of anything specific about your pet’s needs, such as feeding or bathroom schedules, medications, special needs, behavioral concerns, etc. I have cared for senior dogs before and can administer oral medication as needed. I am not qualified to administer any injected medications. I do not have any experience with special needs animals but am willing to learn.
A typical day
I love to take dogs on long walks to allow them to explore all of the sights and smells of the area. I also love to play with toys at home/in a park or backyard when able as well to keep them stimulated and healthy.

Availability
I am working part-time to full-time at a retail job currently. Some days I work normal 9-5 hours and others I am working the closing shift from about 1-9pm. I am often off on weekends, and occasionally have other days off. I am scheduled more hours currently for the holidays, but expect my hours to decrease after the holiday season.
