Pet care experience
My name is Alyssa and I've lived with and cared for dogs for my entire life. I've owned and loved dogs of all sizes, including German Shepherds, Rottweilers, Shih tzus, and Bernese Mountain Dogs. I have tons of experience training, walking, communicating with, and correcting behavior of dogs of all backgrounds. I have experience caring for senior dogs (help up stairs, into cars, slow walking, administering medication) and I have lived with more than 4 dogs in the same environment. I know how attached humans can be to their pets, and I will do my absolute best to make sure your pet-children are treated with the utmost love and respect. About my home! I live in a beautiful 40's house with a lovely back yard. The yard is un-fenced on one side. I have lots of plants, and anything within reach is safe for dog consumption (in case they like to chew). Any wires or small items are safely tucked away when we have pups over. I live near lots of nice dog-friendly places to go on walks for exercise! I have lots of cozy blankets and pillows for your pup to cuddle up with, so they will feel cozy and safe here!

Alyssa is a very kind and gentle person and Charlie loved spending time with her. He was with her intermittently for over a month and there wasn't a moment that I was worried about his well-being. Alyssa understands the importance of food allergies and odd quirks that your dog may have but most importantly she treats the dogs in her care as if they are her own. She was quick to respond if I emailed her and sent photos and updates throughout Charlies stay. We would definitely recommend her and will use her again if the need arises. Alyssa is fantastic, she is incredibly communicative, transparent and patient. She is very knowledgeable with animals and took excellent care of my dog. First time pet owner and first time boarding my dog, I was very impressed with Alyssa’s professionalism, and would not hesitate recommending her!
First time leaving my puppy with someone who wasn’t family and it was a great experience! Alyssa was awesome, super sweet and took great care of my Bowie. She has a one dog at a time policy which I loved and knew my boy would be in great hands! Kept me updated with some pics and I would definitely bring my puppy back to her the next time I’m in Victoria! :)

Please inform me if your pup has any medical or special needs, usual eating habits, and any restrictions they might have. (I never give dogs people food or kitchen scraps of any kind) Please let me know if your dog has not been feeling well lately, as I have to charge an extra fee for cleaning if the pup poops on my rug (It happens more often than you think ?). I prefer dogs that can walk well on a leash, so please inform me if your dog is not leash trained or of they're reactive/aggressive.
A typical day
We love walks! I live near the lake and multiple parks so your pup will get lots of outside time. I also work from home so your friend will never have to spend time alone. I love to play and give out lots of love and pets! Please know that I'm very careful to not feed your pup anything other than the food or treats you provide.

I work from home so your dog will never be left alone. If I go on errands, I usually like to take them with me in the car!
