Dogs are my passion! I grew up with a fawn Great Dane and a Golden Retriever. After getting my own dog at 22 years old, I quickly left the hairdressing business and began to work under a wonderful dog trainer. Went on to work at dog daycares, transporting dogs for daycare, managing etc. I went back in the hairdressing industry while continuing to gain knowledge and experience in the K9 world. I started with Rover in 2016 and I continued to service my hair clients from home and it was surprising to meet such great dogs and owners from Rover. So many that I was able to quit the hair industry for good and had an amazing almost 4 years with Rover. I have recently started back up with Rover after a few years of training dogs for Invisible Fence. Since starting in the K9 industry 25 years ago, I have had a Corgi/Jack Russell mix, 2 Pit/Lab mixes, two English Mastiffs and now I have Angel, my Boxer mix. All of my dogs have been brilliantly off leash trained without the use of treats or trampling their amazing fun loving spirit. While I do not have a formal setup for training, I would love to share my knowledge with other dog owners via private lessons for you to learn to understand your dog better for successful off leash training. I DO NOT formally train dogs during their vacation stays unless that is specifically discussed in detail with pet parents. My form of household manners training is simply repetition, consistency and redirection. While I genuinely believe in the PROPER understanding and use of electronic collars, dogs must be taught prior to ecollar training and that is a completely separate service from your dogs vacation stay. I take only two dogs at a time from Rover as I enjoy the one on one benefits. The more intimate setting gives me an amazing opportunity to learn and understand much more about each dog that stays with me.
