Hello! My name is Alyssa, and I have taken care of pets my whole life, but cared for them professionally for a little less than a decade. In that time, I have worked with dogs young and old, who have had a wide range of needs and personalities. I have given the same amount of love and care to everyone, and have worked to make the animals and their owners as comfortable as I can. Whether your dog needs just someone to drop by and take them for a walk, or someone to watch them for a few days, I'm comfortable with either. I am comfortable with most animals, but always ask to meet the owner and their animals before taking on any family. I cannot board dogs at my residence at this time, but that may change in the future. I do have connections to professional groomers, trainers, and vet techs, if you need any help or suggestions. I am comfortable with sending you text, picture, or video updates of your dogs, as regularly as you need. Alyssa is a wonderful young lady. She’s is kind, considerate and attentive to all of our dogs needs. She punctual and responsible and had gone “the extra mile” more times than we can count. Our dogs love her calm and warm disposition and behave and respond very well to Alyssa. Our dogs are non aggressive dogs so I can only speak from the perspective of her taking care of our pups. We would highly recommend Alyssa to anyone considering having her take care of their furry family members. A+++++

I have no preference when it comes to the size or breed of a dog, but I do like to meet dogs, and their owners, in person before sitting them. This is mostly just to see if it will be a good match, and to see what their personality is like. I'm okay with high energy dogs, having worked with many young pups and active dogs, I just prefer not working with dogs that have a history of disruptive aggressive behavior. (To clarify I don't mean when dogs are teething and they may try to chew on your finger or clothing, I mean blatant biting, fighting, and attacking.) So long as we all are comfortable, I am happy to work with your pup.
A typical day
I love taking dogs to some of the local parks around their home, or even just on their normal everyday walk that they enjoy. If the owner and dog are comfortable, I do enjoy going for a hike, and getting to let them smell all the wonderful scents. Depending on the time of year, I also can take them swimming, or just go play in the snow. But if your dog just wants to play with their favorite toy and snuggle up inside, I'm okay with that too.
