Give your dog the good life and let them stay with us! I'm a highly-experienced dog person who has taken some time off from my career in the pet industry to stay at home full-time with my son! So if your dog likes to be around people 24/7, gets along with a well behaved and respectful kid, other dogs and a cat, they could be a great fit for a stay with us! Since we do have a toddler, we are super-careful with selecting client dogs who fit in well with our crew. We prefer toy/small-medium sizes but will consider larger dogs with the right energy. I have over 16 years experience with tiny toy breeds so we understand their needs and also keeping them safe (often times from themselves) if interacting with our larger pets and while outside. We try to do stimulating activities for all during the day included puzzles, training and walks (weather permitting for dogs who are good on a leash). Client dogs must be quiet and okay with sleeping in a crate at night since its still pretty precious to us these days with our son (although most of our regulars sleep with us in our room). Our dogs aren't just part of a pack, they are truly part of the family - they respect us yet are allowed to be dogs. With over 25 years of experience showing, training, trialing, fostering, doing therapy work with, or just loving our pets, we offer peace of mind to pet parents and whatever environment is necessary for guest dogs to be comfortable in. My experience includes: working for a dog walking company, my two minis earned their Canine Good Citizen titles at 11 months old, active in agility and obedience, and was professional within the pet industry for 14+ years. Our dogs range from 7 pounds - 32 pounds (Chihuahua and Miniature American/Australian Shepherds) so we understand the high maintenance and protective care required by toy breeds (our larger dogs are tiny dog friendly but never allowed unsupervised interaction) but also the activity and stimulation level required by small to medium sized dogs. Please note that due to our son and cat, we require all client dogs to pass a "kid/cat-friendly" test in our home.
