I needed to watch my Mother-in-Laws two dogs for two and a half weeks in September. I was not able to bring the larger dogs to my house because of an issue with a neighbor's dog. That meant my wife, along with my three kids had to change routines to let the dogs out and feed them in the morning, after work, and later at night. Knowing she was a person who loves all animals, especially dogs, I reached out to Alyssa, an old co-worker to see if she could help. She immediately said she could help us in the mornings three days during the week for two weeks. I assumed she still lived close, but she actually moved 45 minutes away. She still agreed to help, even with the commute. She was a lifesaver who went above and beyond to make sure the dogs weren't only fed, given water, and let out. She stayed with them to give them comfort. She played fetch and rubbed bellies. She had flexibility with her hours to help more if we needed it.
