Pet care experience
My family has included dogs and cats my entire life. Friends and neighbors have long relied on me to care for their dogs and cats, whether it is dropping by to take them for a walk, watching pets at their home, or bringing them over to mine. Because I do this so often for friends and neighbors, Rover was a natural next step. I enjoy spending time with and caring for cats and dogs of all ages and sizes. I have a golden retriever puppy who is very well socialized and can easily join my visits or stay home, based on your preference! I currently work at home and can easily care for pups within the Congress Park, City Park and Capital Hill neighborhoods. The close radius ensure that I can visit your pet within a timely manner throughout the day. I live in a condo on the second floor that has a gated entry. This ensures safety for animals in the event that they dart outside the moment a door is opened.

Alyssa is wonderful! She and Ogden took great care of Pickles - Ogden and Pickles became great friends. When I picked Pickles up she was happy and relaxed (she is usually nervous). Alyssa was happy to take care of all Pickles dietary needs, take her on walks, and give her lots of love. In addition, Alyssa sent me photo and message updates throughout Pickles stay. Thank you so much to Alyssa and Ogden for an awesome boarding experience!
We had such a great experience boarding our dog with Alyssa. She took great care of him and sent us frequent photos while we were away. We didn’t worry at all while he was with her, which is wonderful when you are away enjoying vacation. She took him for many nice walks with her dog and he had a great time! We will absolutely book with Alyssa again!
Alyssa was wonderful to watch my dog, she took the pups out for a hike and kept me updated while I was out of town. I appreciate her flexibility on timing when I was in a pinch!

Additionally, if your pet is aggressive or tends to play very rough, I would like to know this information as well. I have a puppy who is very calm and docile, so I want to make sure that any time together is enjoyed by all furry parties involved.
A typical day
If your pet is staying with me, they can expect play time with my very calm, very sweet puppy, Ogden, as well as a walk or two around the neighborhood. I frequently walk Ogden around town and am knowledge about low traffic streets and nearby parks such as Cheeseman, Congress and City Park. Safety is my number one priority when caring for any animal, so you can rest assured that they will be in the best of care when exercised. If I am staying in your home, or dropping in, to care for your pet, you can expect ample play time and a walk around the neighborhood. I enjoy interacting with pets and will take the time to find how they like to be entertained - through fetch, a walk, petting, or some simple company.
