Pet care experience
I grew up with a menagerie in the house. There were always dogs and cats, sometimes birds and hamsters, too! I grew up rescuing litters of kittens with my mom and fostering them until they found their forever homes. When it comes to dogs, I am comfortable with all sizes. I have owned and cared for labradors, mastiffs, chows, yorkies, chihuahuas, and even great danes.

Alyssa has never met a dog that she didn’t love. She grew up with mastiffs, a lab and a chow so big or small she knows how to walk them all! She is truly an animal lover and your pet would be no exception !

I follow all rules and guidelines set out by Rover and pet parents. My priority is always safety first, so I always make sure that all animals I am taking care of and surrounded by are leashed and not behaving aggressively. I know pups need space to run and I am more than willing to take them to a dog park and get all that energy outside instead of having them take it out on your cushions so dog parks are also a place I enforce safety rules for any pets in my charge.

A typical day
In a typical day, I love starting the morning with some cuddles before breakfast. After we all eat, it's time for a walk - either around the block or a whole mile, whatever a pup's energetic needs are! After that, it's time for some water and quiet time lounging around the house. I like taking pups for at least 3 or 4 walks in a day, sometimes more depending on their age, meals, and playtime needs. At the end of the day, we all wipe our paws and get cleaned up for bed! I like ending the day the same way we started and get in some cuddles before we all snuggle in for sleep.

I am part-time at my desk job in arts administration as well as a singer. As I am between gigs at the moment, I have plenty of free time to devote to your fluffy four-footed family members!
