Certified Vet Tech ❤️ Fur Mom

Pet care experience

I am a certified veterinary technician. I have worked professionally with animals for the last 14 years. Animals have been my passion my whole life. I currently have several pets (cats and dogs) and am looking to earn a little money helping you with your fur-kids. I have knowledge of animal health and know what to look for if there is an emergency and can stay calm and collected in emergency situations. I can help with basic care (feeding, bathing, nail trims, ear cleaning, etc), walks, pet-sitting, and the occasional drop-in. I’m accustomed to medicating pets in multiple ways (injections, transdermal meds, oral meds, and topical medications). I’m a mom to a human child as well and have more open availability when she is spending time with her dad.

Safety, trust & environment

Safety is of my utmost concern with my own pets and that carries over to your pets. All of my pets are fully vaccinated (even with the non-mandated vaccines) to protect them as well as your pets (and us humans, too). My pets are also on monthly flea and heartworm medications. I am open to pet-sitting (overnights) in my own home after meet and greets and if your pets (dogs) are also comfortable with cats. I do not want to put my personal pets in harm’s way (this is their home too), nor do I want yours to be in an environment or situation where they are nervous, anxious, or become aggressive. As with anything animal-related, there are special circumstances that may arise or be atypical - please reach out to me if you have a special need or concern you’d like to address.

Information Alyssa C. would like to know about your pet

I’d love to know about any special needs your pet may have. I have seen a variety of different anxieties, diseases, and ailments that pets can have working in the veterinary industry and have familiarity with several treatments. Letting me know any pertinent health history will allow me to plan for your pet’s safety and comfort.

A typical day

I have a large yard that is not fenced in. I’m willing to walk your dog (on-leash) if your pet has poor recall. I also live next to a large park that is perfect for letting doofus run in a more open environment. I love walls and run occasionally - if your dog likes these activities it will be no problem to provide the opportunity. Bring your pet’s favorite toy(s)!!

I share my daughter half-time with her father and our schedule rotates every other week. I have open availability when she is not with me and can work around our scheduled time together for certain services. Because I have a pre-teen, I appreciate flexibility and will do what I can to make sure we are on the same page with scheduling.
