For 1 year I volunteered at an animal shelter caring for dogs and cats (including puppies and kittens) and I enjoyed every second of it. While volunteering I was allowed to administer medication to the dogs and cats, walk them, preform meet and greets, and also do light training. I also worked at a dog daycare for a year. While working there I supervised play groups between the dogs and I have a very good eye for spotting aggressive/ inappropriate play behaviors and enforcing appropriate corrections. This can be especially helpful when working with learning puppies or with reactive dogs! Since I loved doing this work, I knew I wanted to make a job out of it. After that I've had my own pets (dogs, cats, fish, shrimp, snakes, and bearded dragons), I've walked my friends dogs, and I've dog sat for friends, family, and neighbors. I am very comfortable with large dogs and small dogs. My friends and family have always asked me to help bathe and care for their dogs no matter the size.
