Pet care experience
Hello! My name is Alyssa and I’ve always had a passion for working with animals. I have 2 dogs and a cat that I enjoy taking care of at home. I am a certified Veterinary Assistant since 2021. I received my bachelors in Biology with an emphasis in Zoology from San Diego State University. I am also dog walker/ care giver on Wag! for two years. I also have my certification as a nursing assistant and I am a nursing student. My schedule is pretty busy but my availability is always updated! Please let me know if you have any questions. 🐾

I try to go above and beyond with every appointment that I book. I will follow instructions to my greatest extent and will usually ask questions if I need to. I really try to make the experience an enjoyable time for the pets :). I really love animals and respect them dearly.

- Is your pup friendly to strangers or protective of your home? - Does your dog do well around other dogs or other animals such as squirrels/bunnies? -Is your dog leash trained and do they pull on the leash? -Is your dog high energy, moderate, or low energy?
A typical day
Depending on the time limit and energy of the dog I will adjust our activities. For example if your dog is the very energetic type I usually do a variation of running then walking for rest. I try to use your dogs energy as much I as I can during our walk! So when they come home they are tired pups ready for nap time. Of course there is an exception for dogs who cannot spend as much energy such as senior dogs. For that I usually go at the dogs pace. :)

I go to school full time as a nursing student. I will always update my schedule every two weeks so please book within that time. I prefer request that are made at least one day before. Thank you!
