Pet care experience
I grew up on a farm, caring for a wide variety of animals during my upbringing. I now live in the city and have a love for travel. That being said, I have not been able to commit to adopting my own little Puppy pal. This is my way of getting my furry fix, without the longterm commitment (pets are for life!). I would like to one day have a puppy of my own, but for now I'm looking for a hiking/walking buddy - and since I love to travel -I understand the anxiety of having to find someone trustworthy and caring to watch your pups as if they're their own. I'm your gal for your little (or big, I don't discriminate) pal! I will send you lots of pics and updates and keep your furry friend happy while you're away. If you're interested, I'd love to chat!

I recently had the pleasure of entrusting Alyssa with my friend Luna for a few days. Going into this arrangement I was pretty nervous and a first time Rover user. As soon as you meet Alyssa you can tell she is a true animal lover. She immediately made me feel at ease leaving my dog with her. She is so welcoming, friendly and enthusiastic about being with your pet. I was so impressed. Furthermore her house is bright, clean, and you will be met by a very friendly (and patient) cat. Alyssa is clearly a pet lover, and will put the time and care into your pet as if they're her own. She was communicative, kind, and, most importantly, my dog loved her. I would highly recommend Alyssa as a dog sitter during your next trip. Completely stress free!

I have a large fenced yard, as well as a cat who gets along well with dogs. I just ask that your dog is okay with cats and house trained.

Please let me know about any special requirements your pet may need to follow. I like to keep their routine as similar as it is in their daily like with you. That might include certain rules you follow (no going on furniture/beds, etc) and feeding times.
A typical day
I love to go for walks, so your dog would tag along side me. I also think it's super important for your dog to be mentally stimulated daily, so I ensure I allow time for that. That might look like longer sniffing times during a walk, games outside in the backyard or inside (hiding toys, etc).

I'm currently a full-time supply teacher, with the odd day off here and there. I'm mostly able to come home at lunch and I'm home after work by not later than 3:30 most days. Your pup would have outside time in the morning before I leave to work (between 7-8:30 am ish), at lunch (approx. 40 mins) and again once I'm home after work. I enjoy going for daily walks, so your furry friend will tag along side me. If you're open to it, I also love going on hikes, so I'd love to bring your pup too!
