I am detail-oriented and have years of pet experience! I am a biology student at Pitzer College. I have worked at pet stores and fostered with a couple of different animal groups, giving me experience with many species and breeds! Current Pets: 2 disabled cats, 1 kitten, 1 standard poodle, and 1 crested gecko. Pets I've worked with: >50 foster cats/neonatal kittens, foster dogs, family's dogs (I did training for 5 family member's puppies), snakes, frogs/toads, and small animals! I am comfortable with: - Basic training (for puppies, cats, and with the hunger4words buttons) - Senior Care - Administering Medicine - Walks - Food (including dry, wet, and raw) and Water - Neonatal Care - and more

We have a 3 yr old Shih Tzu. Alyssa’s been watching her since she was 5 months old. She’s the best dog walker and sitter that we’ve had. Makes it easy for us to relax when we’re away from the fur baby.
Alyssa’s been wonderful with my doggies. I have a standard poodle and 15 year old Yorkie with special needs. I feel comfortable leaving town and know that my pups are happy and well taken care of or who can just come over to feed and walk them while working or gone for the day.
Alyssa is the most loving and caring animal lover I have ever known! She's a literal animal genius and has taken amazing care of my dogs whenever I've needed her. Incredibly knowledgeable and empathetic human whom I would trust with my life, and my dogs'. 5/5 Stars!!!

Before I come to sit, I'd like to know if the dog has anything that would cause the dog to feel fearful or aggressive (such as if the dog is aggressive towards other dogs, or has food aggression or chronic pain). It would also be good to know if the dog has any allergies. Please let me know what the dog's energy level is like and how much exercise and which activities you prefer while I am dog-sitting. A typical day
Do you have special places you like to go on walks? I love to go on walks wherever the pet parent is comfortable with. I'm happy to take the dogs to the dog beach as well. If the pet parent prefers we stay inside or in the backyard, I'd love to play ball or fetch with the dog(s).

I am currently a part-time student and am working part-time. I am flexible all days except Monday. I do have to come home to care for my pets (one of my cats takes her seizure meds multiple times a day), but it does not take very long and if you live close, I can schedule around it (:
