Animal welfare professional with 10+ years of experience. I have fostered and cared for countless pets from seniors to young puppies. I can work on training new skills or maintaining existing habits. I have experience crate training and teaching basic obedience. We are also very happy to lounge around, relax and get some good snuggles in! Whatever your pet needs to be happy and comfortable while you're away, I am ready and able to provide. I work in the neighborhood and would not have to leave your pet for long hours. We are able to provide separate and safe spaces for the pets in our care. The yard is not fenced, but all outside time is on-leash and accompanied by us. We have two dogs, Mandy and Muggsy. They get along well with other dogs and are used to accepting new pets into the home from when we foster. We are comfortable with crate training if that is what your dog needs or is used to. We also have the ability to separate our pets with baby-gates and a separate room to give everyone the space that they need. Our home is very quiet with a regular routine that doesn't take us away from the house for too long - just to run errands.

Alyss took great care of our home, dog and fish when she house sat for us this weekend! She is very responsible, trustworthy, professional, as well as kind and loving to all of our pets. She is definitely a keeper… mahalo for everything Alyss!!
Alyss is INCREDIBLE and I wish I could always have her dog sit for me! She is so experienced and SO good with my dog, Ranger. He is anxious and can be a bit reactive to other dogs, so it's so important to me I only have experienced dog handlers care for him. She is so patient with him but firm and I feel safe knowing he is in her care. I really worry when he is with others, but I know he is in good hands when he is with her. She also always sends photos and videos which is amazing because I miss him so much but hate bugging the sitter for updates. She's also great with my cat Riley, who can be naughty if she doesn't have enough playtime and stimulation. I couldn't recommend Alyss enough - she is the best pet sitter I've ever had and my pets love her so much!
Wow! We could not have found a better “home away from home” for our dog than with Alyss! She met us before we booked and we knew she was the one when he ran straight to her! This was our first time using Rover and we chose the perfect dog-sitter in Alyss! When we picked him up, he was the happiest dog! She kept in touch while we were gone and even sent pics! We hate having to leave our dog, but this was the easiest trip ever because we knew Alyss was loving One like he was one of her own dogs. We are so grateful for her care, and we cannot recommend her enough!

A typical day
We start our day with a nice break outside in our yard. Throughout the afternoon we take multiple breaks to go outside. In the afternoons/evenings we can take a walk around the neighborhood. We also have access to our neighbors fenced in yard that we can use for off-leash time to run around if needed. Our neighborhood is quiet and very walkable/dog friendly.

Availability
I work in the neighborhood - just 5 minutes away! And am never out of the house for long hours. My partner works from home and is able to be home during the weekday when I have shifts.
