Hello! My name is Alysa and I am an animal lover. I am a recent MPH graduate from GWU and starting a career in global health. In my free time I like to be outdoors. I have grown up around animals, due to the fact that my mother is a veterinarian, which often resulted in me being her informal vet tech at home. I have had over 15 pets in my life and frequently volunteered at local animal shelters for dog walking. I have experience with puppies all the way to elder pups. I am available to stop by during the week after 6pm at night and available anytime on the weekends. I am comfortable walking/running your pup and/or just dropping by for a quick potty break and an attention session.

Alysa responded quickly to my last minute request and provided great care for my dog! She showed up timely and followed all walk instructions. She sent a great report card and my pup loved hanging out with her!
I have known Alysa for over 10 years now and she has always been an animal lover. She grew up with a veterinarian as a mother and has always shared the same care and compassion for animals. Should I ever get a pet and need someone to care for them for a weekend she would always be my first choice.
Alysa is excellent with all animals. With over 20 years of experience taking care of dogs, cats, and bunny's, including animals with medication requirements, I would definitely feel comfortable with having her walk and/or pet sit for my animals.

For our shy ones I’ll sit further away, then come closer if I can tells there’s curiosity. For our energetic, social friends, I’ll happily meet their level and entertain their zoomies.

I would like to know of any likes and dislikes of the dog when leaving the house (i.e., afraid of cars, will run to other dogs, does not like children, etc.). Knowing of any sensitive parts of the animal's body for walking purposes and where to avoid when petting. I do not have a preference for breeds. All are welcome!
A typical day
I prefer to take dogs on walks on more calm streets near your residence and/or to nearby parks. I love when you have suggestions! If anyone needs to get some of their puppy energy out, I’m happy to take your pup on runs.

My work schedule is extremely flexible and I often take walks to get out during the day anyways! I’m happy to make your pets part of my weekly routine.
