Hello! I'm Alyce, and I just moved back to my hometown of Nazareth, after earning my Master of Music Degree in Vocal Performance and Pedagogy at Westminster Choir College this spring. As I audition for musical gigs here and in the surrounding areas, I am looking to supplement my income doing something I really enjoy - hanging out with dogs! I am available for walks, housesitting, and drop-ins. I have a lot of experience with dogs and pets in general. I volunteered at an Animal Shelter for 7 years in my teenage years, and grew up watching my mother who worked part-time in a veterinarian's office. I would be comfortable caring for any of your four-legged friends! I believe that the reason some people don't "click" with dogs or animals in general is because they don't show a baseline trust and respect for the animal. Every animal has their own unique personality, and I try to observe and cater our time together to that personality. I treat animals with the same respect as I would treat another person. So far, I've never met a dog that I couldn't get along with. I love to play, to go outside, to go on trips to parks, etc. After having cared for children professionally for so many years, I am used to foreseeing issues before they arise, and staying sensitive to the needs of the animal such as: 1) How will they interact with other dogs and people in the park? 2) If they had an allergic reaction to a bee sting, what would I do? 3) What would make the dog comfortable around me - do I come to their level first or do I stay standing? 4) Will this animal require extra water if its hot out?
