Dependable walker and sitter

Pet care experience

Hi! I'm a responsible animal caretaker who has had experience with many types of dogs. I’ve volunteered at the Animal Rescue Foundation, worked at the ASPCA, a vet clinic, and grown up with both dogs and cats. I have always been an avid animal lover. I live on the upper west side, just a block away from Central Park, so the walking area is prime, and I can ensure that it can keep your doggy active. My rates are for a 24 hour period. I'm pretty flexible about pick up and drop off hours. This includes: two- three walks per day, provided with fun activities and relaxation, medication (if administered by owner), and fed as directed. I would love to care for your dog where they will be adored, safe, comfortable, and showered with attention in a comfortable environment.

Aly has been great with our setter. He’s a strong walker and she has handled him really well! Our pup seems to love her!

Aly is an excellent pet sitter. I got plenty of pictures throughout the day, and our dog Dakota got plenty of love while we were away.

Safety, trust & environment

I have an elevator in my building, in-case your pup has difficulties or fear going down stairs. My apartment is also right across the street from Central Park, so our walks (always on-leash, even during off-leash hours) usually consist of transversing the park. If I’m boarding a pup, I make sure to have a meet and greet so the overnight stay isn’t the first time I’m meeting the dog. In my client’s home, I prefer to have a meet and greet to cover where their pup usually likes walking, leash/walking rules or requests, and any additional information that is important to know.

Home

Lives in an apartment
Does not have a yard
Non-smoking household
Has 2 cats
No children present

Dogs allowed on furniture
Potty breaks every 2-4 hours

Information Aly S. would like to know about your pet

Information that is important to know about your dog beforehand is whether or not they’re good with cats and if they’re leash reactive around other dogs.

A typical day

Typically, I’ll ask if the pup is allowed to go to the dog park and if they are, we usually go there if the weather is nice or play at the park. Usually, I’ll play with the pup with the toys their owner has brought and when we aren’t playing, we’ll usually be in the same room hanging out.
