Pet care experience
Having grown up on a farm surrounded by animals, I have developed a passion for connecting with them. From taking care of my pets since the age of 7, ranging in species from guinea pigs, to cats, to horses, and dogs, I have gained extensive experience working with animals. I am also my family and friends go-to person for pet sitting, so I have quite a bit of experience in that area as well.

Alta did a wonderful job of looking after my fur babies while I was away on vacation for 2 weeks. I have two small breed dogs and two cats. Alta sent me daily photos of the fun they were having and even taught our dogs a new trick that they still love doing a year later. I never had to worry about my babies knowing that they were in good hands with Alta. She is fantastic with animals and I would recommend her to anyone!

I love to be active, so I could walk (or jog) a dog for a long as it would like to go. I also love teaching them new tricks, so that could be something I could work on with your pet as well! I would also offer them a very nurturing environment where they could have as many pets and tummy rubs as they would like, as I know it can be stressful for them to be away from their mom/dad.

A typical day
I enjoy teaching tricks and working on behaviours because it is rewarding for me to see them learn and excel. I also love to be active and play with dogs, so if your dog likes playing fetch, I would love to take them to the dog park or have some backyard fun!

Availability
I am currently working full time, but have availability on evenings and some weekends. I also work in Goderich, so I could do 30-minute walks or drop in visits over my lunch breaks at work in that area. I do also offer boarding services and do not have any other pets at my home currently.
