Pet care experience
I helped care for our two large dogs, Biko and Asti, from age 6 to 18, then we got Max and Ginger, small, cantankerous dogs. My friends often ask me to dog sit and I love going back home to meet my buddies who have bonded with me over the years. I think my stature (6'4") and demeanor helps me command attention and manage high-energy dogs, and I have the stamina to take them on the long walks they need. I've also cared for many senior pets with special diets and physical limitations. I've never owned cats but have cared for many indoor and outdoor kitties. I also have cared for gardens; my mother had a vegetable garden that at the time I hated tending but I learned a lot. In one stay in Seattle I helped an orchid bloom!

Alphonso has helped me out in many a tight spot, hopping in to pet sit for my senior cat and dog. Animals love his calm and gentle nature. He is clean, organized and responsible. I am always grateful when he is available.
Alphonso took excellent care of both our home and pets. We had a senior dog who needed extra love and care, and he was able to distribute her medicines and appropriate food levels based on our instructions flawlessly. He also ensured that our other two pets, a younger dog and a cat, were entertained and loved while we were gone. He was grateful for our instructions, and read them carefully upon his arrival. Alphonso was very communicative and reached out with any questions he had. There were no issues when he stayed at our home, and we would undoubtedly have Alphonso house sit and pet sit again.

I am a digital nomad (software engineer) working from home wherever that is, so I am able to take frequent breaks for walks and play; part of the reason I am seeking sitting jobs is I could use more incentives to get up and be more active myself!
