Pet care experience
I have been taking care of animals on a personal level since I was about 10. I have been working professionally with animals since I was 15. I originally started by working with large animals, but transitioned to a small animal vet clinic when I 16. I currently work at a small animal clinic in Madison, but I previously worked at UW Veterinary Care where I mostly worked as a receptionist, primarily dealing with emergencies. Therefore I have a good understanding of how to handle many situations that could, but hopefully would not, arise. I have a very flexible schedule this semester and will be continuing to live in Madison throughout this summer. I am reliable, responsible, and caring. I have a passion for helping and taking care of animals and would love to gain more experience.

Allyson was so good to my boys and made sure to keep my updated! She was respectful and easy to communicate with and I would 100% trust her to take care of my cats again.
Allyson did well watching our three cats for two weeks in our home. She responded quickly when prompted by us for updates. She was willing to take on anything extra that we requested of her. Our house was clean when we came home and our animals were happy and taken care of. Also, she was able to help us out a bit last minute and we are grateful for everything!
Our puppy was in good hands with Allyson and he seemed to love his time with her! We’d definitely use Allyson next time we’re in Madison!
Our dog was well loved and our house was clean upon return. Allyson did a wonderful job and we will hire her to take care of our dog again. Allyson is comfortable with dogs of all ages and knew how to beat care for our old girl.

I am currently unable to care for pets in my own home due to regulations from my landlord. While house sitting, I am very organized and clean. I have cared for a wide array of animals and feel comfortable taking care of animals with special care instructions.

I would prefer to know any special care instructions for animals ahead of time. I am able to administer oral and injectable medications if needed. If dogs have anxiety or are unable to be left alone for extended periods of time I would prefer to know that beforehand.
A typical day
I love taking dogs for walks or hikes if they are able. If owners are comfortable, I will take their dogs to the dog park to interact and play with others. Having worked at a vet clinic, I also understand the reasons some may not want their pets going to dog parks. There are no specific places I like to go but I love to do things outdoors.

Availability
I am going to be a part time student this semester because I am graduating in May and have all my requirements. I will also be working part time but I have a vehicle with me in Madison so I will have transportation and can be flexible when care is needed. I am used to getting up early in order to take care of my responsibilities along with school and work.
