We are retired postal workers originally from Maryland. I was a letter carrier, Bill a clerk. I carried dog treats for the dogs on my route. Some dogs were upset when it wasn't me in the truck. We've had one or two dogs most of our lives. We've had mixed breeds, Akitas, Labs and our last pup was a Llasa poo. He lived to be almost 17 years old. We volunteered at the local humane society. We walked, played with and provided the dogs with some training to help make them adoptable. We enjoy pet sitting for friends, including a little Yorkie, and Terrier mixes. I enjoy jogging, so if your dog does too, we could go for a run. We like walking around the block, talking to the neighbors and their dogs. We are home most of the day, close to the dog beach, bike trails and a number of state parks. We are ready to care for your dogs! Love, attention, walks, car rides, naps, what ever your dog needs! We normally accept one dog at a time or more from the same family. Occasionally, we have overlap from one dog's drop off and another dog's pick up time. This could be a few few hours or even a few days. Bill and I work together to provide our best possible care for the dogs staying in our home. Drop off/pick up times are 7am-7pm. If you need to drop your dog off earlier than 7am or pick him/her up later than 7pm, please book the extra night. A "boarding" is considered a 24 hour rolling period. For example: If you book for a 2 night stay, beginning Saturday and ending Monday. The dog gets dropped off 8am on Saturday for the 2 night boarding stay. Once Monday rolls around, the dog’s pick up time is 8am. If pickup time needs to be later, we may request a single charge of $15 (half a day) be added to your total payment. We know things happen; weather, flight changes etc. We can be flexible but please let us know as soon as possible if anything comes up. We look forward to meeting you and your dog!
