Pet care experience
My family and I rescued my late dog Skipper over 14 years ago. She was a lovable mixed breed who has taught me so much about being a pet owner. We also have had 3 cats throughout my life (Ashes, Sox, and Prince Zuko) but I have spent all my life around animals. I have taken care of a number of dogs and cats over the years. Ashes lived to the ripe age of 20, but passed earlier this year. I am hoping to adopt a new friend sometime soon! I believe that animals are healing and understanding companions and would love to meet yours! Showing love to animals is the best way to bring out their own loving nature. I want to give your dogs the attention they need and ensure their safety and comfort while you are away. I graduated from Seattle Pacific University, with degrees in Creative Writing, Linguistics and history, and am currently living in San Diego with my son.

We were so blessed to find Ally on rover! We needed a good companion to watch our Tank while we were out and we couldn't be happier! Ally was so sweet and kind and took excellent care of Tank. He had some anxiety while we were gone but Ally handled the situation calmly and professionally. We can't thank her enough for her generous heart and caring soul. Ally was great at keeping us up to date (sent pictures on walks) and made traveling stress free knowing he was in great hands. 5 stars across the board for Ally! We will surely be using her for our future trips.
Ally has always loved animals and they love her. She is conscientious and loving, taking into account the special needs of each animal she cares for. I highly recommend her for anyone wanting a special friend to take care of their pet.

I am easy going and I know that most dogs and cats are as well, but please let me know if your pet has any specific issues or anxieties related to other people or other animals. I want to love and trust all animals, as I am sure they would love to as well, but if your animal has had any past trauma or abuse or health or psychological issues, I would love to know about them so I can better care for your specific pet's needs.
A typical day
I will take care of your pet exactly as you would like me too, with a little added "Ally". I love to pet dogs and cats, play with them, cuddle them, train them, and take them on walks. Whatever you would like me to do with your pet (whatever is their favorite thing!), I am most likely willing to do it. If they need space, I will give them space; if they need attention, I will give it! Please just let me know your and your animal’s expectations from a sitter, and I will do my utmost to provide :]

Availability
I have a 1 year old son and am doing Uber Eats deliveries off and on. My schedule is relatively open, just depends on the day and time of day. I can usually get care for my child when needed. My son does love pets! He loves dogs and cats alike, and has learned to be gentle and the correct way to pet :)
