Hello! Im Allison a permanent work from homer located near the wharf looking for a next mid day walk companion! With over 10 years of experience with dogs and cats alike with personalities ranging from stubborn and high energy to reactive and spicy, I’m sure I have the skills and energy needed to ensure your loved ones receive the care they need. The cutie in my profile picture is Nugget a close friends dog that I casually walk. His cuteness almost matches the amount of energy he has as an Irish doodle. For the dogs like nugget that aren't satisfied with a casual walk or run I'm more than happy to get on the ground and play, tug and chase to their hearts content. You and your animals comfort are my top priorities. To ensure I am the best fit to care for your animal I prioritize learning your animals personality, routine, and your training style. At home, I have my only child, a 11 year old calico with asthma that I adore. For this reason I am unable to care for your animal in my home but am more than happy to come to your home. I do have access to a car and for farther distances from my home and l at home stays would be sure to secure that access in case of any emergencies. Maintaining the health and safety of your animals is no small take and ill be sure not to skip any corners when it comes to your animals needs. I am more than comfortable administering medicine, socializing your animal based on your preferences, positive enforcement training, all while keeping things tidy for your return.

To ensure I’m the best fit to care for your animal it’s key for me to know and understand your dogs socializing behaviors, their day in a life routine, any triggers or things to avoid, and what motivates/ excites your animal for rewards and positive reinforcement. I also require all dogs I attend to have their vaccinations up to date. While I love snuggling up with my cat at the end of a long day, I know that’s not for everyone. At home behaviors and boundaries you’d like to have enforced help ensure I respect your home and animal while you’re away.
A typical day
Living near the wharf comes with great access to multiple near by parks including my favorite anacostia. If we’re both comfortable with open socialist with other dogs there’s all a variety of dog parks near by that we can stop by. A trip to hains point or a quick splash in one of dc’s public splash pads are a great trip on a summer’s day.

I'm a permanent work from homer with a flexible work schedule. Feel free for request care during all available times and I’ll actively communicate and confirm my availability. I regulaly take quite a few daily walks and with my flexible work-from-home schedule I'm available for drop ins, walks and anything else your pet may need throughout the day.
