Very experienced pet walker/sitter

Pet care experience

**Due to knee issues, I am temporarily unable to walk large dogs. I owned pets of all kinds growing up and have been dog walking/pet sitting professionally for over 8 years, to the great satisfaction of the animals and owners. Initially, I only worked for family friends, mainly dog walking and house sitting in addition to volunteering several times a week at Furburbia (now renamed Nuzzles & Co). More recently I have worked at a dog boarding facility which accepted dogs to either stay for daycare or stay overnight and a professional dog walking and pet sitting company which provided all resources, from overnight sitting to taxi services to dog walking. I absolutely love animals. I am an undergraduate student hoping to go to veterinary school and have interned for vet offices in Park City, both of which have given me the experience to help should your pet need any medical care. My schedule is flexible and I will do whatever I can to make you and your pet as happy as possible, but since I don't own any animals of my own currently, I'm just happy to get to hang out with your pet!

Allison is great! She was very conscientious in learning everything she could about my dog, his routine and personality, etc. before her 1st stay with him at my house. I’m excited to find someone I trust to take care of my dog and home, in the future!

Allison was great with our high-energy 5 month-old German Shepherd puppy. She got her out of the house to help burn off that excess puppy energy numerous times throughout the time she was pet-sitting. She was also very responsive and flexible, which we appreciated!

I have two difficult dogs. They are both rescues and are wonderful, but are tough. They are both prey driven to a fault, and one is aggressive with other dogs. Allie is one of two people I trust my dogs with. She takes the time to get to know and to truly appreciate your pets, despite their shortcomings, which, to me, is invaluable as a dog sitter. Truly, I could not recommend or ask for a better candidate to take care of my pets.

Allison has always been one of the most loving people I've known for the 15 years I've known her. Allison is dedicated to caring for animals, especially dogs. She has been interested in becoming a veterinarian since she was a little girl, and now is making her dream come true through her studies at the University of Montana. As someone who has personally cared for animals alongside Allison, I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a loving, fun, energetic dog sitter! I can assure you your dog will come to love Allison like she's family within minutes.

Information Allison R. would like to know about your pet

I always need to know the temperament of the dog, how they act toward other humans, how the act toward other dogs, and any medical problems they have ever had. My family has adopted "troubled" dogs that no one else wanted, so I have had to learn that "troubled" often times just means "lots of personality" which I love! One of our trouble dogs was a lab/husky mix named Frankenstein (a true monster at first, adopted from Furburbia) and he made me fall in love with huskies because he was SO quirky. Another was named Layla and she was a wolf/catahoula/mutt and, again, wild to begin with, but SO much personality and so many quirks.

A typical day

I am happy to do whatever the dog would like to do, whether that means going on walks, playing fetch, going to a dog park, or going on a hike (hikes are my personal favorite!)
